We recently held a graduation for families who completed our Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP) program this year. NFP is a free home visiting service that gives new moms valuable knowledge and support beginning early in pregnancy and until their baby reaches two years of age.

On September 13, 2017, we celebrated the 34 families who have completed the NFP program this year, including three sets of twins! Not only are our graduates superheroes, we believe our dedicated home visitors are heroes as well.

Public Health Solutions runs NFP programs in Queens and Staten Island. The NFP program empowers first-time mothers to confidently create a better life for their children and themselves by partnering them with caring nurse professionals who provide services in the family’s home. The program has been shown to significantly improve birth outcomes, improve school readiness, and reduce childhood injuries, abuse, and neglect. It has also been shown to increase maternal employment, and increase father’s presence in household. We are incredibly proud of the families who commit to completing the NFP program, and are healthier and stronger families as a result.
