Times are difficult right now. But you don’t have to choose between paying rent and feeding your family. Public Health Solutions can help you get food benefits. It’s free and you can apply from home. SNAP (Food Stamps)

SNAP benefits help eligible community members purchase the food they need from most grocery stores and other approved food outlets. Our counselors will help you find out if you qualify, gather required documents, and submit your application. We will also provide referrals to other programs you may need.

Neighborhood WIC

Public Health Solutions’ Neighborhood WIC is the largest community WIC program in New York State, helping over 35,000 women, infants and children annually. WIC provides education and counseling around nutrition and physical activity, breastfeeding support, and checks to purchase nutritious foods for eligible pregnant and nursing women and children up to age five.

How do I keep my baby safe and healthy? Where can I get nutrition advice for me and my newborn? When you have questions, we have the answers. Public Health Solutions can connect you with trained professionals to help. It’s easy, free and you can get support over the phone from home.

PHS provides a variety of evidence-based home-visiting services to pregnant and parenting families. Our Nurse Home Visitors and Family Support Workers offer education, tools, and support during pregnancy and through early childhood. These services are voluntary and free.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Centers

PHS provides affordable, comprehensive, and confidential sexual and reproductive healthcare to more than 4,000 women, men, and adolescents each year. We offer a complete range of sexual and reproductive health services, including free walk-in pregnancy testing, gynecological exams, prenatal care, preconception care, birth control (including IUDs and implants), emergency contraceptives (morning after pill), men’s sexual healthcare, teen’s sexual healthcare, STI testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, mental health services, and health education.
