Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in New York City, PHS’ Queens Healthy Start office is currently closed. Support services are being provided via telephone and video-based sessions for enrolled participants. New participants are welcome during this time. Please call 718-704-5078 and ask for Jasmin for more information. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely, so please check back in on this page for regular updates.
Our Healthy Start is a partnership with Sheltering Arms Healthy Families New York, Community Health Network, the Nurse-Family Partnership, and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Through this program we screen, refer, and provide quality services to pregnant women, parenting mothers and fathers, children up to the age of 18 months, and families.
Healthy Start specializes in outreach and referrals, the surest way to reach the most at-risk families and connect them to needed services. Our home-visiting, educational groups, fatherhood program, and referral initiative is a free service. We accept referrals for all pregnant and newly parenting fathers and mothers through a centralized screening process and match them to a home-visiting program that best meets their need and preferences.
Healthy Start serves families in Jamaica-Southeast Queens and neighboring communities.
