Public Health Solutions’ Health Reimagined Campaign raised $505,942. Thank you to all our supporters who generously donated to this campaign.

The pandemic has affected the lives of people of color and under resourced communities in New York City the most. More than a public health crisis, COVID-19 has also been an economic and social crisis. As unemployment grows across the city, more and more New Yorkers are turning to us for help every single day, making our services today more critical than ever before.

Listen to Nancy Giles in conversation with PHS Staff Member, Shaimaa Mostafa

“It’s all about helping the community.”

Listen to award-winning actress, CBS News Sunday Morning commentator, and lifelong New Yorker Nancy Giles in conversation with Shaimaa Mostafa, PHS’ Senior IPA Navigator, who assists New Yorkers in health insurance enrollment.

COVID-19 has forced nearly one in every five New Yorkers into unemployment, and many are turning to PHS to get health insurance. Listen to Shaimaa’s everyday experiences in helping newly unemployed New Yorkers struggling to make ends meet.

“Some clients come in and say, ‘I just need health insurance for my kids. I’m okay. I am healthy.’ They are doing that to cut costs, but unfortunately that’s not how it works. Things change overnight.” – Shaimaa

Learn how PHS has been a “one stop shop” for all these New Yorkers – helping answer all their questions, providing end-to-end assistance, and enrolling them into a plan that works best for them, all in just one phone call.
