Our SNAP Benefits Counsellors review eligibility, explain work requirements and exemptions, and assist with the application submission process.
SNAP Benefits Changes 2026
The “Work Requirements” for certain able-bodied adults without dependent children (ABAWD) began on March 1, 2026.
If you have received the “Work Activity Notice” and “PACE Vendor Appointment Notice” from HRA about your work requirement, please reach out to us at 800-844-2758 to discuss with your SNAP enroller.
Overview
SNAP benefits (also known as “Food Stamps”) help eligible community members purchase the food they need from most grocery stores and other approved food outlets. We will assist you in submitting your SNAP application in Access HRA, explain the verification and interview process and support you in following up. Our enrollers also help you apply for low-fare metrocards through Fair Fare and discuss your Cash Assistance application.
