Claire Théroux Oliver, MPA Claire Théroux Oliver is Vice President, Public Health Programs at Public Health Solutions. Ms. Théroux Oliver is currently responsible for the management of programs with a combined budget of approximately $40 million.
Ms. Théroux Oliver joined Public Health Solutions in 1976 after having worked at the New York City Department of Health’s Office of Medicaid Provider Monitoring. She has an extensive background in the development and management of health and human services programs, particularly those dealing with maternal and child health issues. Some of the programs she has managed at Public Health Solutions are: Neighborhood WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Supplemental Food Program; Pediatric Resource Centers; Prenatal Diagnosis Laboratory; Infant Child Health Assessment Program; Early Intervention Service Coordination Program; Health Insurance Enrollment Program; and Sudden Infant Death Risk Reduction and Counseling Program.
Ms. Théroux Oliver graduated from Hunter College and holds a Masters in Public Administration from New York University.Peggy Regensburg, PhD Peggy Regensburg is Program Manager of Sudden Infant Death Risk Reduction and Counseling, a program of Public Health Solutions and, the NYC Satellite Office of the NYS Center for SID. The program offers education and training for professionals and the public on safe sleep awareness and sudden infant death risk reduction. It also provides bereavement counseling and support to families experiencing the sudden unexpected death of an infant or child.
Dr. Regensburg has an extensive background in counseling and education. Before joining Public Health Solutions in 2007, Dr. Regensburg was a medical social worker, providing bereavement counseling and support to hospitalized women experiencing late pregnancy loss or stillbirth. She joined the faculty of St. Joseph’s College, Long Island Campus, in 2001 as an adjunct professor, teaching research and mental health courses to health administration and community health majors.
Between 1988 and 2001, Dr. Regensburg acquired extensive experience in addictions treatment, and provided counselor education and training for numerous training programs and treatment facilities. She is an OASAS certified addictions educator. A private practitioner from 1992 to 1999, Dr. Regensburg gained significant expertise in counseling individuals and families suffering grief and loss.
Dr. Regensburg earned her PhD in Social Welfare in 2007. She holds a Masters of Social Work from Stony Brook and a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Empire State College, as well as the CASAC credential. In addition, Dr. Regensburg serves on the NYCDOHMH Infant Mortality Review Committee and is a member of the Association for SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs.Irma Cortez, BS,is the Program Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an Associate’s in Computer Science from Touro College.
Ms. Cortez provides administrative support and operations management to the program, and coordinates trainings and the office calendar. She supports bereaved Latino families with culturally and linguistically appropriate program services.
