"On behalf of the Westchester County Department of Health staff and the Tri-County Ryan White Part A providers, I thank you for such a professionally presented training on performance-based, fee-for-service contracting. The all-day session gave us the exact hands-on overview we were hoping for. The modules were clear and concise and the exercises, in particular, presented a real-world sampling of how reimbursement rates are constructed. Our providers all agreed that the training definitely gave them a leg up and better prepared to apply for grants from other funders, including New York State and the federal government, as they move in the same direction. Thanks again. They got it. We couldn't have done it ourselves."

As government funders move to require greater programmatic accountability through performance-based contracting, nonprofit organizations must move with them, adopting new practices and tools in order to successfully manage both their government contracts and their organization's fiscal health in this new environment. For many nonprofit organizations with government contracts, the change, from reimbursement for services based on program expenditures to reimbursement based on performance often requires a cultural shift in the way the organization does business.
Nonprofit Consulting Services’ “Managing Your Organization in a Performance-Based Environment” trainings provide participants (program managers, fiscal staff, administrators and contract managers) with an understanding of the fundamentals of performance-based contracting. The trainings incorporate real-life examples, exercises and tools that participants can walk away with and implement within their own organizations. We follow-up on the trainings with individualized assistance in setting up the fiscal systems to make the transition smoother.
