Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the training, participants will:
- Gain a better understanding of nonprofit accounting and financial terminology and translate it into meaningful information
- Understand what donors, funders, charity-watch dogs and other interested parties consider when reviewing non-profit financials.
- Be able to describe and know the purpose of different financial statements and reports of non-profit organizations.
- Know which essential reports to ask for and how often to ask for them
- Use financial ratios to assess their organization’s financial health
- Enhance their communication with fiscal staff
- Develop the knowledge to make more proactive well-informed business decisions to more effectively manage their non-profit organization.
Target Audience:
This training is specifically targeted to Executive Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Presidents and other senior executives of nonprofit organizations that get audited by an independent certificated public accounting firm and need to understand their financial statements as well as reports.
One-on-One Coaching:
To ensure that participants apply the new knowledge they have gained during the training and to clarify any issues and/or answer any questions about the training content, attendees can receive at an additional cost one-on-one coaching from the trainers, via email and/or phone subsequent to the training.
