As Director of Nonprofit Consulting Services, Inez has responsibility for ensuring the overall quality, accuracy and responsiveness of our technical assistance, training and other capacity building services. She also coordinates back-office support services such as contracts management, purchasing, human resources, information technology and accounting for small- to medium-sized nonprofits. Public Health Solutions also fiscally sponsors programs that seek to improve health outcomes through research, advocacy and services, and “incubates” new nonprofits, which Inez coordinates.
Prior to joining Nonprofit Consulting Services, Inez was Executive Director of the SKILL Center, a nonprofit based in the South Bronx that provides home health aide training and employment services for women with limited formal education and work experience. Previously, Inez was Senior Deputy Director of Public Health Programs at Public Health Solutions, where she oversaw numerous public health interventions. Prior to that, Inez managed the evaluation of a substance abuse intervention initiative with inner-city Latino youth, and developed HIV/AIDS interventions for immigrant communities. Inez has an MPH from Boston University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts.
Andrew Owens, Office Manager

As the Office Manager of Nonprofit Consulting Services, Andrew is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly and maintaining the program’s databases and website. He coordinates the logistics for Nonprofit Consulting Services’ training programs, as well as all administrative functions, such as purchasing.
Prior to coming to Public Health Solutions, Andrew was a Housing Advisor and Leasing Coordinator at Harvard Real Estate Services and a Client Relations Database Manager for Putnam Investments. An accomplished musician, Andrew has a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts where he graduated summa cum laude with departmental honors and distinction.
Ghassan Khalil, Manager Fiscal Programs

As the Manager of Fiscal Programs, Ghassan provides one-on-one technical assistance and develops as well as conducts financial management training on a local and national level. He has over 10 years experience working in the nonprofit sector. Mr. Khalil has trained hundreds of organizations on developing and customizing fiscal policies and procedures manuals, demystifying nonprofit financial statements/reports and effectively managing government contracts.
Before joining Nonprofit Consulting Services, he worked as a Grants/Contracts Manager for a local community-based organization where he was responsible for developing and maintaining systems to monitor and report on assigned public and government grants/contracts and privately-raised restricted funds.
Prior to that, Mr. Khalil was a Fiscal Analyst at HIV Care Services, another program of Public Health Solutions, where he managed and monitored Ryan White Title I/Part A funded health care contracts. Ghassan Khalil earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Baruch College in New York City.

As a Senior Management Consultant for Nonprofit Consulting Services, Kenny provides program development and program capacity building technical assistance to community based organizations and health departments in New York City and around the country. Kenny has been involved in the field of public health for over thirteen years. He has worked on the front lines as a health educator, developed projects as a manager, and designed and managed programs across the country as a public health specialist. He has developed innovative educational strategies and curricula and advocated for change in government policies around men’s health and sexuality.
After receiving a degree in Psychology and Cultural studies from the New College of California he worked with The Office of Minority Health and The National Minority AIDS Council providing national trainings on issues around sexual health, disease prevention, cultural competency and Internet-based health promotion and disease prevention interventions.

As a Senior Management Consultant for Nonprofit Consulting Services, Imelda provides training and capacity building assistance to community based organizations and health departments nationwide on Street Smart, an evidence-based HIV prevention intervention targeting at-risk youth. She is also responsible for curriculum and materials development for evidence-based HIV prevention interventions targeting at-risk youth and heterosexual women.
Prior to receiving her dual Masters degrees from Columbia University in Public Health and International and Public Affairs, Imelda worked for community based organizations in both India and Mexico on reproductive health and human rights issues.

As Management Consultant for Nonprofit Consulting Services, Laura provides program development, capacity building, monitoring, and evaluation technical assistance to community based organizations through group trainings and one-on-one services.
Prior to joining Public Health Solutions, Laura conducted independent research in Morocco on the health ramifications of legal changes in the country’s Family Code under a Fulbright Scholarship. She has also worked on reproductive health issues in El Salvador and Thailand.
She received her Masters of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health from the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. While receiving her graduate training Laura worked with a local health center to conduct a health literacy needs assessment to inform future programming. She received her Bachelors of Art Degree in Community Health and International Relations at Tufts University.
