The Infertility Prevention Project (IPP), also known as the Chlamydia Project, is a national demonstration project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with funds obtained from Congress. The Project's overall mission is to implement effective prevention strategies designed to reduce the prevalence of Chlamydia trachomatis, a sexually transmitted infection particularly prevalent among young people, and its potentially debilitating complications, including infertility. IPP services are provided at the same locations as are the Title X Family Planning services.
