This program identifies expecting families in Bushwick at risk for child abuse and/or poor health and/or child development issues and provides weekly home visiting services. The goal is to help the 160 families enrolled in the program to develop positive interactions with their infants, master good parenting skills, increase their knowledge about child development and the use of health and social services and to improve educational and/or employment status for the parents. Families are enrolled during pregnancy or immediately after birth and are eligible to receive program services until the child enrolls in school.
