Fiscal and Administrative Services

Nonprofit Consulting Services provides a variety of administrative support services to nonprofits, government agencies and privately or publicly funded projects. We can function as an umbrella, back office or administrative and fiscal sponsor for projects that lack their own 501(c)3 or, for those with a 501(c)3, that want to focus attention and resources exclusively on the programmatic or fundraising aspects of their work.

Our services can be tailored to the specific needs of the client organization, agency or project. They include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Financial (including grants) management
  • Payroll functions
  • Human resources
  • Contract management
  • Procurement
  • IT support
  • Office and training space, including computer training labs

Recent Highlights

• Conducted and environmental scan and produced a report on findings for the New York City Mayor's Office of Veterans' Affairs

• Provided Supervising to Manage Performance training to three cohorts of managers at the Child Center of New York

• Currently delivering fiscal training and technical assistance to day care centers enrolled in the NYC Administration for Children's Services' Project Full Enrollment

• Currently providing back office support to the New York eHealth Collaborative and School Food Focus

Capacity Building and Support Services

Nonprofit Consulting Services offers group workshops and one-on-one assistance in a number of areas, including:

  • Finance: developing fiscal policies and procedures manuals and understanding financial reports.
  • Human resources: developing policies and procedures manuals and supervising in a performance-based environment.
  • Technology: using Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office software.
  • Internet: using Web-based tools for outreach, education and marketing.

We also offer one-on-one customized technical assistance on a variety of topics, as well strategic planning services.
